EcoCampus
While attending the University of Illinois in the Urbana-Champaign area I noticed that students lacked access to necessary facilities and recycling bins within their apartments and dorms. I created the app EcoCampus to remedy this issue and went on to apply for a grant to continue with the development process.
The Redesign
After conceptualizing this app and creating my initial design I did not stop there. I took the app a step further outside of class and focused any free time I had into creating this project I reality. I put together a grant team that was overseen by an Senior Industrial Design professor, I connected with a Senior Software Engineer to learn more about the technical details behind the design process, and I enlisted the help of a professional Graphic Designer to improve the entirety of my design including typography and color scheme.
During this process I took in all the advice and comments from professionals in design and engineering fields to create a more streamlined user experience and a better more contrasted aesthetic to appeal to users. What you are seeing now is the final design!
